INOV.AM – Innovation in Additive Manufacturing
INOV.AM — Innovation in Additive Manufacturing is a program that mobilizes Innovation in Additive Manufacturing, made up of companies from various sectors of activity and a group of entities from the national scientific system, aiming at development in various areas of intervention, which include: new materials, advanced manufacturing processes additive manufacturing, advanced post-production processes, advanced automation and control software, new products, training and qualification of human resources. The project is coordinated by EROFIO and by University of Minho has as Scientific Host Institution, in a total of 76 partners.
ACTech Hub, as part of Lab2PT – EAAD, integrates the WP 19 – Rein4concrete whose main objective is to develop AM technologies for cementitious mortars, based on robots and Cartesian axes, with the automatic introduction of structural reinforcement.
There is a strong expectation that these processes will be applied on the factory floor and in-situ by the companies Grupo NOV, FMMG, Mendes e Rodrigues, MendesInov. These companies will adapt facilities and create conditions for these technologies to create new products and ways of producing housing, cement artefacts, urban furniture and model prefabricated buildings. On the other hand, SOargila and Sival will invest in items linked to the clay and gypsum extraction and composition of aggregates and fillers always on a sustainable basis. Thus, items related to waste treatment, transport and extraction are contemplated. Farmi will invest in productive means, subtractive equipment for the production of components for large cement additive manufacturing machines.
The project “INOV.AM – Innovation in Additive Manufacturing” is financed by the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation – IAPMEI, I.P, under the Framework Programme: Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and Operational Programme: C5. Capitalisation and Business Innovation, referring to Mobilising Agendas for Reindustrialisation.
